Our Mission:

East Coast Charters is driven by a passion for delivering world-class sportfishing experiences throughout New England and beyond. Led by Captain Max Dispoto, our operation combines decades of hands-on experience in inshore, offshore, and big-game fisheries across the globe.

We operate as a tight, professional team—sharing knowledge, refining techniques, and staying relentlessly focused on the fish—to provide our clients with safe, efficient, and unforgettable days on the water. From planning to execution, our focus is on delivering a seamless, high-level sportfishing experience rooted in experience and attention to detail.

Captain Max Dispoto

Captain Max Dispoto is the youngest Shimano Pro-Staff saltwater angler in the industry. His relentless drive on the water, paired with instincts well beyond his years, has quickly made him a respected presence in both inshore and offshore fisheries throughout the Northeast.

Fishing the waters of Block Island since the age of seven, Captain Max developed an intimate understanding of the region’s fisheries early on. As his focus expanded offshore, he became particularly known for his success targeting tuna throughout the Northeast—reading conditions, locating fish, and executing high-level jig-and-pop and big-game tactics with consistency. His commitment to spending every possible day on the water during the season has built a level of offshore experience and situational awareness that few anglers achieve in a lifetime.

Captain Max is a proven expert in trophy striped bass fishing in Rhode Island waters, highly skilled in jigging and popping techniques, and recognized for targeting giant bluefin tuna. He also specializes in Northeast Canyons fishing, with a focus on daytime deep-drop swordfishing.
